How is non-clinical accompaniment different from seeing a doctor?
A hospital companion helps with communication, registration, hospital workflow and records. Licensed clinicians make diagnostic, treatment, testing and prescription decisions. Accompaniment does not replace a medical consultation.
How much does half-day hospital accompaniment cost in Shanghai?
The current service price is CNY 680 for up to 4 hours. One companion can accompany up to two people sharing the same itinerary at no additional charge.
How much does full-day accompaniment cost and how long does it last?
The current service price is CNY 980 for up to 8 hours. Scope is confirmed before booking.
Are hospital tests and treatment included in the accompaniment fee?
No. The accompaniment fee covers the agreed non-clinical service. Hospital charges and third-party costs are separate. Check the itemised quote and scope before booking.
Can two people share one hospital companion?
One companion can accompany up to two people sharing the same itinerary at no additional charge.
Can you coordinate accompaniment across several appointments?
You can enquire about custom accompaniment. Tell us your existing appointments, dates, language and support needs. Scope and pricing are confirmed individually.
Can someone help me register at a Shanghai hospital if I do not speak Chinese?
You can enquire about registration assistance and hospital accompaniment through registration, triage, consultation, tests and payment. Required identification, registration methods and appointment rules depend on the hospital and must be confirmed with it.
What does medical interpretation include?
Your companion helps interpret the conversation between you and the medical team during the appointment. Interpretation conveys their explanations; it does not provide independent diagnosis, treatment or medication advice.
Will I receive a written summary after the appointment?
Half-day accompaniment includes a same-day written summary and a follow-up message within 48 hours. The summary records what the clinician said and the agreed next steps. It is not an independent medical opinion.
Can you translate medical records?
You can enquire about medical records translation. Describe the language, document type and intended use first, then confirm the scope and document handover. Do not send your complete medical record with an initial enquiry.
How much does medical records translation cost?
The current starting price is CNY 680; per document set. The final quote depends on the records.
Do you handle insurance claims or guarantee reimbursement?
No. We do not handle insurance claims on your behalf or promise reimbursement outcomes. Confirm coverage, documentation and claim requirements directly with your insurer.
Is Companion Shanghai a hospital or clinic?
Important: Companion provides non-medical health management consulting. We do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Any consultation, acupuncture or treatment takes place inside a licensed medical institution, delivered by licensed practitioners.
Who provides and charges for accommodation, airport pickup and private cars?
Accommodation, transport, catering, admission tickets, insurance. Contracted directly between you and the licensed travel agency. We do not price these and we do not collect payment for them.
Can you assist with visa documents?
You can enquire about visa route assessment and document preparation. Visa fees are paid separately by you. Requirements and approval belong to the relevant authority; assistance does not guarantee a visa.
Do themed route prices include transport, admission tickets and meals?
Each route is led by us: design, interpretation, cultural briefing and materials. Transport, admission tickets and meals are not included and are never collected by us.
Are suggested combinations a package price?
A combination is not a bundle price. Each item remains separately priced and separately invoiced — a combination only tells you what people usually end up choosing.
